Megan was raised in Fredericksburg, VA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017, and immediately started working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at VCU Health. It was there that she developed a strong passion for supporting women and families during their birth experiences. Since 2018, she has supported families in the Fredericksburg area working as an L&D nurse. In 2019, she was awarded the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Inspired by her passion for women’s healthcare and several of the midwives she worked alongside, Megan completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2023.

Megan’s experience and training have prepared her to provide holistic care to individuals at many different stages of life, from adolescence and beyond. Her passions and interests include family planning, pregnancy care, low intervention labor and delivery, postpartum support, and breastfeeding support. She also enjoys providing preventative healthcare during annual visits. She strongly values developing professional relationships with individuals and believes every individual deserves to have patient-centered, evidence-based care, and to feel supported in their healthcare decisions.

Megan lives in Fredericksburg with her husband and her four young children. Together, they enjoy spending time outside, gardening, crafting, and camping.
