At Elite Women’s Health, we provide care for women from adolescence through menopause and provide extensive general, preventative, and specialized gynecologic care.
An important component of delivering an “Elite” level of care is the annual well woman gynecology visit. A well-woman visit is an important way for women of all ages to stay healthy, detect health issues early, and prevent future ones from developing.
Contraception and family planning is a very important part of a woman’s life. Elite Women’s Health offers comprehensive family planning, contraception, and birth control education, counseling, and related services.
Many women experience abnormal uterine bleeding / heavy periods during various times in their lives. For one in four women, every cycle is heavy – and that can be a frustrating and painful condition that interferes with normal activities.
Uterine fibroids are benign growths that develop from the muscle tissue of the uterus, and are also called leiomyomas or myomas. Women who do have symptoms often find fibroids hard to live with and can affect their daily lives. Some women have pain and heavy periods.
Endometriosis is a painful, potentially life-disrupting disease that affects about 10% of all reproductive age women. Endometriosis can contribute to a wide variety of symptoms, or produce no symptoms at all. Pain is the most common symptom, but it’s also possible to have no active symptoms of endometriosis.
Severe menstrual cramps, irregular periods, heavy bleeding, and missed periods are some of the most common types of problems that women experience throughout their lifetimes. Menstrual cycle irregularities are common, affecting up to 25% of women of reproductive age.
Breast Cancer Risk Assessment

Minimally Invasive Surgery and Robotic Surgery are surgical options available for gynecological patients of Elite Women’s Health. Benefits of minimally invasive surgery vs. traditional open surgery include accelerated healing time and less scarring.
Some of the benign conditions we can treat surgically are abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, ovarian cysts and masses, pelvic pain, surgical sterilization, and uterine fibroids.
Dr. Zeenat Patel is extensively trained in minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic robotic hysterectomy, and in-office procedures. She is the only female surgeon in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area who is using the DaVinci robot to perform hysterectomies.
