Leah Choate was born and raised in North Dakota. She earned a Diploma in Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial School of Nursing located in Richmond, Virginia in 2002, then quickly completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Virginia in 2004. Leah went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia in 2020.
With almost two decades of experience as a labor and delivery nurse, Leah provides patients with individualized education and counseling to understand each patient’s expectations. She is dedicated to supporting her patients though their pregnancy journey, helping them achieve the birthing experience they envision that also best aligns with their healthcare needs. In addition to obstetric care, Leah provides an array of healthcare services including annual gynecological exams, contraception management, family planning, postpartum support and breastfeeding support.
Leah lives in Mineral, Virginia with her husband and their four children. In her spare time, she can be seen on the sidelines of the lacrosse, football, wrestling and cheerleading, cheering on her children, spending time in her craft room, or playing with her golden retrievers.
